Italy: Benevento signs Armenteros

One of the most prolific goalscorers in the Eredivisie last season, Samuel Armenteros has joined Benevento Calcio (Serie A) on a three-year deal from Dutch side Heracles Almelo after a successful season in the Netherlands. The Swedish striker, currently on international duty with Sweden and preparing for the Bulgaria and Belarus fixtures, has scored 19 goals in 29 appearances last season – ranking him third amongst the highest scorers in the league. Nico-Jan Hoogma said about his player that ‘this transfer was Samuel’s reward following a fantastic season’, before declaring the club was ‘proud to be able to export one of their players to a big-5 league’. This will be Armenteros’ first spell in one of the big five European

Already sitting at the fifth place in the standings, the Baggies have also shown their ambition not only through their results, but also through the quality signings they have made this summer window. This successful transfer window has also been highlighted by a success in retaining their key players at the club, with the only starter

Barça: Hellas Verona snap up Seung-Woo

Barcelona’s youth has been fleeing the club for the past couple of years. With earlier in the transfer window, Jordi Mboula leaving the club for Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco, and Marlon recently being loaned to OGC Nice on a two-year deal, Barça seems to have lost yet another youngster. Though this time, the departure is a permanent one. Recently promoted to the Serie A, Hellas Verona have recorded the signing of Lee Seung-Woo (touted ‘the Korean Messi’), Barcelona’s young left winger, on a €1.5million deal with buy-back clause. Seung-Woo has not received much playing time at Barcelona, and the 19 year-old is not befitting of Ernesto Valverde’s plans. The left winger is expected to make his debut in the

However, despite having relatively low team morale because of the Coutinho story, the Liverpool scouts have finally locked down their first target, and will now make the deal official regarding the signing of Naby Keita, RB Leipzig’s twenty-two year-old

Chelsea could sign Arsenal star despite Liverpool interest

According to the Daily Cannon, Liverpool could battle it out with Chelsea for the Arsenal star, and are ready to offer him a spot in Liverpool’s midfield in order to convince the player join them over Chelsea. Following a long period of negotiation aimed at renewing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s contract, with the most recent offer being estimated at a salary of £180,000 per week, Arsenal may have just given up on keeping their young winger, who appeared in 29 games last season in the Premier League. With interest from Chelsea having built up in the past weeks and now with the player being closer than ever to the Blues, ‘The Ox’ is expected to leave Arsenal in the next following days.
