Paulo Dybala scores treble as Juventus win 3-1 in Sassuolo

Paulo Dybala netted a stunning hat-trick to win the game for Juventus, as the champions won 3-1 against Sassuolo. This weekend’s Serie A fixtures featured Juventus visiting Sassuolo for both of their respective fourth games of the season. Juventus was in the need of a win if they were to take back the lead from Internazionale (who has been on their best start of the season in years). Sassuolo was also looking for a win, though their start to the campaign was fairly disappointing; Sassuolo had yet only earned one draw out of three games, losing the two others. Juventus were the clear favourites ahead of this clash at the MAPEI Stadium. Sixteen minutes into the game, after already having

Messi scores twice, leads Barça to 3-0 win on Juventus

Lionel Messi’s stellar performances have not stopped; in fact, the Argentinian winger has been noted as man of the match yesterday as Barcelona faced Juventus in one of the most anticipated clashes of this season’s UEFA Champions League. Many knew that this game would be quite an interesting one, though the prestige of both teams had decreased in the past season. Despite being Champions League finalists, Juventus had already lost a sizeable amount of key players in the transfer window, whereas Barcelona was also plagued by exits as their star Neymar left to join PSG (his replacement Ousmane Dembélé made his debut last week-end). Italy: Benevento signs Armenteros

One of the most prolific goalscorers in the Eredivisie last season, Samuel Armenteros has joined Benevento Calcio (Serie A) on a three-year deal from Dutch side Heracles Almelo after a successful season in the Netherlands. Barça: Hellas Verona snap up Seung-Woo

Barcelona’s youth has been fleeing the club for the past couple of years. With earlier in the transfer window, Jordi Mboula leaving the club for Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco, and Marlon recently being loaned to OGC Nice on a two-year deal, Barça seems to have lost yet another youngster. Though this time, the departure is a permanent one. Recently promoted to the Serie A, Hellas Verona have recorded the signing of Lee Seung-Woo (touted ‘the Korean Messi’), Barcelona’s young left winger, on a €1.5million deal with buy-back clause. Seung-Woo has not received much playing time at Barcelona, and the 19 year-old is not befitting of Ernesto Valverde’s plans. The left winger is expected to make his debut in the
