League One: Oldham signs Johny Placide

Following a long career in both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, Johny Placide, 29, has sealed a move to League One side Oldham Athletic. The Haitian goalkeeper (33 caps) has penned a two-year deal for the English side currently sitting second-last in the current League One standings.

Placide has participated in 146 league matches in professional French football, including a successful spell in Ligue 1 for Stade de Reims where he was starting goalkeeper for the French side before their relegation to Ligue 2. Placide spent last season at Guingamp where he did not make any appearance in all competitions.
